Islington Contemporary Art and Design fair (ICADF)

ICADF went well!  My silk scarves were admired by a lot of people and I met some very interesting people! :)

I will soon be selling my scarves online at www.perrynelvill.com so I will let you all know when that goes live! My silk scarves would make great Christmas gifts! Everyone needs something to brighten up the dull winter! :)

Here are some photos from the show and my stand that I shared with Rose Thomasson (Rosethomasson.co.uk)

Silk Scarves

After printing the scarf must be steamed for a certain amount of time depending on the dye stuff used!  After this it must be washed to remove any excess dye and then can be dried to create the final product. I enjoy drying my scarves in the garden when it's nice and sunny! :)

Print Room

I thought I would show you some picture from the print room and the general processes I use to create my scarves! :)

It is important to get the silk stretched out and stuck down before printing! :) My green masking tape is super sticky!
Here I am placing the screen before printing to ensure I will be printing on the right area of the silk! Tricky to do sometimes if you can't see through your screen to the fabric!
